Getting Started

First thing first; will your PC be able to run Document Management?

Hardware prerequisites are:

  • Pentium 4 or equivalent processor.
  • A monitor and video card combination capable of at least 1024 x 768 resolution with at least 32MB of video memory.
  • At leat 60MB of free drive space for the install. You also need enough drive space available to hold temporary files. Usually 1GB of free space is good.
  • An Internet connection with port 443 open so you can access our systems
  • A TWAIN 1.5 compliant scanner or capture device is necessary if you wish to scan documents
Software Requirements: The basics are a Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista(Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate), or Windows Server 2003 operating system. You need to have the latest Windows Updates to make sure you have an up-to-date computer. For advanced IT specifications go to the technical specifications area.

Once you have verified the hardware and software requirements then it is time to get the software. You will be notified of any software prerequisits before the install completes.

How it works

Since most of your documents have associated records in our system a "View" or "Scan" button may be placed by each record.

Once "view"  or "Scan"  is selected, Document Management will check to make sure you have the most currennt version. If not, it will begin to download. Once Document Management opens you will be show the documents for the selected record or if you selected "Scan" you will be taken to "Scan/Import" where you can begin to scan or import documents. To try it out go to our Document Examples to the right and choose one of the document links.
